The concert „Spring Voices“ of the Ensemble AVENIR is a concert „full of musical surprises at the highest level“. (Aachener Nachrichten) The four musicians of the Ensemble AVENIR around front woman von Schlichting know how to interpret, rediscover and master melodies you know but didn’t think you knew. Instrumentation: piano, violin, bass, guitar and vocals.
As border crossers of the Euregio-Meuse-Rhine, the artistic and linguistic influences of the Ensemble AVENIR are manifold: French, English, Italian, Romanian, Greek but also Yiddish can be heard.
Their mission is to use music to create a surprising yet intense shared moment. Their musical roots are deeply rooted in the classical tradition, yet the young ensemble moves stylistically confidently across musical genres – from renaissance to classical, from chanson to pop. In November 2019, the ensemble’s first CD „Above the Clouds- Sempre Libera“ was released. Fittingly, the release concert took place at the KUKUK on the border between Germany and Belgium and marks the beginning of the tour, because despite Corona, the motto is „Open the future“.
